things money can buy

Often you consider money as a buying power, that buys you whatever you crave for in your life. You name it, you get it, when you have money. Your money has that much of a magical quality to fulfill all your materialistic wishes in life.

This is the reason everyone runs after money. Everyone worth his name want to be affluent and rich. It is because, it gives everyone the power to live their life as they dreamed it to be.

How much would you say is enough money in your life?

There is no such thing as enough money for anyone; be it the rich or the poor. Everyone wants to be richer, than their friend\relatives\colleagues. So, the chase after money only gets madder and madder, everywhere around the world.

Most of you like money because of its buying power. There are some people who say that money cannot buy happiness, fulfillment and mental peace. It is very true. Money cannot make you feel happy or peaceful. These unique qualities are more of your mindset. It has nothing to do with money.

Does this mean that money is only a means to buy the best materialistic things the world can offer you?

Is there nothing else to it?

Does its importance just end there; showcasing your affluence and status symbol to others?

No!

There is more to money, than its buying power. It is the lifeline of your life.

When you have no money, the world stands still for you. Your day begins with fear about your survival, and ends with fear about your survival. Every person worth his name treats you like worm, when you do not have money. When you are penniless, your self-respect is crushed and thrashed, almost everywhere.

I must share my experience here.

Many years back, we faced the worst financial drubbing of our life. Before our financial debacle happened, we had relatives\friends visiting us. But when we went financially downhill, the speed with which everyone disappeared from our life took our breath away. No one knocked at our doors, and we were all alone in our own bleak moneyless world.

Why did our relatives\friends disappear from our life?

It was because our financial situation had changed; from the self -sufficient to the inadequate. The bitter lessons I learned during those traumatic days is something I will take to my grave. I realized that life without money is an agonizing experience for anyone.

There are some things money can buy – You will be astonished by the list.

The top no.1 of the things money can buy is relationships.

Are you taken aback?

You would insist that every relationship is based on love, and that money has nothing to do with it. It is true that relationships need love and care. But in reality, it is not so. When you do not have money, relationships disappear from your life like a magic.

When you are flourishing with money, your relatives\friends have a good and happy rapport with you. Your relatives, friends visit you often.  They even remember your birthdays and wedding anniversary and wish you well.

You also feel good, when they interact with you, affectionately and caringly. You feel your relationship with your friends\relatives will always be the same. But you are in for a shocking surprise. It is because the rapport your friends\relatives show towards you, happens only as long as your going is good.

Things take a reverse turn when your going becomes tough and penniless. You are stunned when your relatives\friends disappear from your life like magic.

So, everyone is there in your life, only when you have money. When you are affluent, you have relatives around you. But when money goes away, so does your relatives\friends.

Shortage of money makes you live in a lonely world –very deserted and isolated.

Can you see why I told you that money can buy relationships?

The top no 2. of the things money can buy is your self-respect.

Your self-respect clings to money. When you have money, your self-respect is intact. But when money disappears from your life, your self-respect is torn to shreds.

When you have money, you fulfill your requirements and duties without depending on others. But when you have no money for your basics, you might have to borrow money from your friends\relatives.

You cringe with shame when you ask others for money. You feel you cannot stoop lower than this. Your friends\relatives move away from your life for the fear that you might come to them, begging for money.

Can you see how your self-respect is destroyed when you have no money?

So, you can see how money buys your self-esteem.

The top no 3. of the things money can buy is your financial peace

Money also buys you, financial security in life. It is very true that health is wealth. No amount of money can replace your health. It is also true that without love, your life is meaningless.

But when there is no money, you have bitter arguments with your spouse\children.  Your interaction with your family becomes heated and hostile, when money disappears. Your married life feels deprived and insecure when you have no money.

You fear your future when you do not have money. But when you have money, you do not have miserable thoughts about your future. You relax peacefully as you know that money will take care of your future.

CONCLUSION

“Too many people spend money they earned … to buy things they don’t want … to impress people they don’t like”- Will Rogers

Does all this mean money is a better option than love and care?

Absolutely not.

I just meant that money makes your life more relaxed and comfortable. When there is no money, your future is very uncertain. When you fall sick, love cannot cure you. You need the rustle of money for treatment and medicine.

You need money to give good education to your children. Often money makes your relationship with your children a lot tension free.

Money is the most powerful element in this world. You have to agree to it. You are gauged successful, only when you have lots of money.

It is depressing that almost everyone has now tilted alarmingly towards money, making relationships shrivel into nothingness.

In reality, money can buy you the best things in life, and not happiness or contentment.

But you will never agree to this.
